Find internet offered in Graham, NC – easily compare options from multiple providers to find the plan that best fits your needs.
FindBetterInternet was created by two guys with years of first-hand industry experience selling internet services online. Frankly, what we found left a lot to be desired. Internet providers can pay for their listings to be placed higher up the page, cookies can be captured, and your data can be shared for banner ads that stalk your online profile for the next week. We built FindBetterInternet to be different.
Our methodology translates the complex treasure trove of 115m locations on the FCC Broadband Map into one simple resource. We layer on pricing to help you sift through what’s good value.
We hope this is helpful for you and appreciate all the community’s support with this project. If you find it helpful, we do make a commission if you buy internet from a link on our address-check page. We pour that back into maintaining the site.
Every price and coverage figure on this site traces back to FCC Broadband Data Collection filings (the National Broadband Map); here’s exactly how we do it.

The 30-Second Verdict
UpdatedIn Graham, NC, your best bet is AT&T, covering ~72% of the city with FCC-filed speeds up to 5,000 Mbps. That top speed is on AT&T’s fiber, which reaches ~35% of the city, so 5,000 Mbps is not available across the full footprint. Spectrum is the strongest terrestrial alternative at 94.0% citywide, and in North Graham, ZIP 27253, AT&T leads locally with 39.2% on fiber, with speeds up to 5000/5000 Mbps, versus Spectrum’s 26.6% on cable, with speeds up to 1000/35 Mbps. Lumos also reaches 10.8% there at 1000/1000 Mbps and 10.1% at 5000/5000 Mbps, while AT&T’s 1000/1000 Mbps tier reaches 8.6%. South Graham and West Graham may differ, and student apartments near Alamance Community College can have different choices than houses, so check for fiber versus older DSL or copper infrastructure for Zoom, streaming, and gaming. For budget-minded shoppers, Verizon is a fixed-wireless alternative, with its 300/20 Mbps tier reaching ~63% of the city, while T-Mobile’s 100/20 Mbps tier reaches ~28%. Coverage changes street to street, so confirm your exact address, technology, and available speed before signing up.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
At $50/mo for the first 12 months, then $90/mo, AT&T Fiber 1 GIG offers up to 1000 Mbps down and 1000 Mbps up with a 95/100 Speed Score, making it a strong value for fast, symmetrical service. Fiber is an excellent, top-tier option in Graham, and AT&T’s 98/100 headline Speed Score is above the city average of 72, though the 1 GIG plan is available to 48.0% of the city. Availability is address-specific, and locations without fiber may instead see AT&T Internet Air, which offers up to 300 Mbps down and 300 Mbps up at $55/mo promotional rate, then $60/mo, but fixed wireless can be less consistent than fiber.
About AT&T
AT&T offers strong value with Fiber 300 at $35/mo for the first 12 months, then $60/mo, for up to 300 Mbps both ways, while Fiber 1 GIG costs $50/mo for the first 12 months, then $90/mo, for up to 1000 Mbps both ways. Fiber is excellent for streaming, gaming, and working from home, but it is address-dependent: both plans are available to 48.0% of Graham, while Internet Air reaches 5.9% and offers up to 300 Mbps both ways as a more limited fixed-wireless fallback, so check your address before signing up.

About Spectrum
Spectrum’s fastest plan offers up to 1000 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload, which can comfortably handle 4K streaming, video calls, gaming, and many connected devices at once. THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
Lumos’s up to 5,000 Mbps fiber plan reaches 13.1% of Graham, so its fastest service is available only at a limited share of local addresses. Where available, it is an excellent choice, with a Speed Score of 98/100 and up to 5,000 Mbps download and upload speeds, while the up to 1,000 Mbps fiber plan is also a top-tier option with a 94/100 score. Check your exact address to confirm availability, since Lumos’s fiber tiers do not reach every location.
About Lumos
Lumos’s up to 5,000 Mbps fiber plan reaches 13.1% of Graham’s census blocks, so its fastest service is limited to a minority of addresses. Where available, it is an excellent option for demanding households, and Lumos also offers up to 1,000 Mbps both ways, with that plan reaching 23.5% of census blocks. Check your exact address first, since this strong fiber service is highly location-dependent.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
Satellite internet can handle streaming, video calls, and everyday browsing, but higher latency may make gaming and other real-time uses less responsive. Starlink’s Residential Max plan offers up to 400 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload for $130 per month, with a Speed Score of 71, about the same as Graham’s city average of 72, and is shown as available to 100.0% of the city. Its lower-priced plans offer up to 200 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload for $85 or up to 100 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload for $55, both with Speed Scores of 48, so check which connection types reach your specific address before choosing satellite.
About Starlink
Satellite internet gives Starlink broad availability for everyday browsing and streaming, but its higher latency can make competitive gaming and real-time video calls less reliable. Its fastest local plan offers up to 400 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload for $130/mo and is available to 100.0% of Graham, though you should check your address for fiber or cable first because those wired options generally provide a better experience where available.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
Households that need good speeds for streaming, work, and multiple devices may find T-Mobile’s 5G fixed wireless service a competitive option in Graham. Plans offer up to 498 Mbps download and 55 Mbps upload with All-In, or up to 354 Mbps download and 55 Mbps upload with Rely, and both have a 76/100 Speed Score, above the city average of 72. Because fixed wireless availability and performance depend on location and can be more variable than wired service, check your address, as these plans are available to 57.3% of the city, and compare any wired options available there.
About T-Mobile
Households that want solid everyday streaming, video calls, and browsing without a wired connection may find T-Mobile’s 5G fixed wireless a good fit, with Rely offering up to 354 Mbps down and 55 Mbps up for $50/mo promotional rate, then $60/mo, or All-In offering up to 498 Mbps down and 55 Mbps up for $70/mo promotional rate, then $80/mo. These are adequate rather than top-tier fiber or cable options, and each plan is available to 57.3% of Graham, so check your address first because fixed-wireless availability and performance can vary, while homes needing especially consistent capacity should compare faster wired service.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
Up to 1000 Mbps download and upload with a Speed Score of 94/100 is an excellent choice for 4K streaming, gaming, video calls, and many connected devices at once. Because that fiber plan is listed for only 0.1% of Graham, availability depends heavily on your address; where fiber is unavailable, Brightspeed’s copper service offers up to 100 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up with a Speed Score of 50/100, so its limited performance makes checking other providers first worthwhile.
About Brightspeed
Brightspeed’s fastest option is fiber with up to 1000 Mbps both ways, a top-tier connection that can comfortably handle a busy household’s streaming, gaming, video calls, and large downloads. That fiber reaches only 0.1% of census blocks in Graham, so availability is highly address-dependent; where it is not available, the copper plans top out at up to 100 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up, with slower tiers that may be adequate for basic browsing but can fall short for modern households, so check for faster options at your address first.

5G fixed wireless can support streaming, video calls, and multiple connected devices, with Verizon’s 5G Home Plus offering up to 1000 Mbps download and 75 Mbps upload. Its 77/100 Speed Score is above Graham’s city average of 72, making it a competitive option, though fixed wireless performance can vary more than wired connections. THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
At $94.99/mo for the first 12 months, then $119.99/mo, HughesNet’s Fusion plan buys up to 100 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, but its Speed Score is 29/100, below Graham’s city average of 72. About HughesNet
At $39.99/mo for up to 25 Mbps, $49.99/mo for up to 50 Mbps, or $94.99/mo for up to 100 Mbps for the first 12 months, HughesNet covers 100.0% of Graham, but its satellite plans offer below-average value for demanding use, with prices rising to $49.99/mo, $74.99/mo, and $119.99/mo afterward. Check your address for faster fiber or cable service first, since satellite latency and HughesNet’s speed scores of 6/100 to 29/100 may not be enough for modern needs, making HughesNet best viewed as a fallback when better local options are unavailable.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Graham
Viasat is a limited-performance option compared with alternatives, especially for demanding internet use. Viasat Essentials offers up to 55 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload, while Viasat Unleashed offers up to 34 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload, and both have a Speed Score of 6/100, below the city average of 72. About Viasat Inc
Viasat Inc is a reasonable fallback, but it should not be your first choice for modern internet needs because its satellite service has a below-average Speed Score of 6/100 and can have high latency. How We Analyze Internet in Graham
FCC Broadband Data
We use the FCC National Broadband Map, updated twice a year with provider-reported coverage at the census block level.
Speed Score
Our proprietary score weights technology type (fiber=100%, cable=85%, etc.) with download (70%) and upload (30%) speeds, ranked as a state percentile.
Coverage Calculation
Provider coverage shows what percentage of census blocks in Graham report service availability from each provider.
Data Coverage for Graham
How We Calculate Speed Score
Our Speed Score is a state-level percentile ranking (0-100) that shows how a provider’s service compares to all other internet options available in your state.
The Formula:
We calculate a raw performance score using:
Technology Factor × (Download Speed × 70% + Upload Speed × 30%)
Technology Factors:
Not all connections are equal. We weight each technology based on real-world reliability and performance:
- Fiber: 100% – Fastest, most reliable technology
- Cable: 85% – High speeds, shared neighborhood bandwidth
- Fixed Wireless (Licensed): 70% – Dedicated spectrum, weather-dependent
- Copper/DSL: 65% – Distance-limited, aging infrastructure
- Fixed Wireless (Unlicensed): 60% – Shared spectrum, variable performance
- Satellite (LEO): 40% – Low-earth orbit (e.g., Starlink), higher latency
- Satellite (GEO): 15% – Geostationary orbit, significant latency
Percentile Ranking:
After calculating raw scores, we rank every service option in your state by geographic coverage (census blocks served). A score of 85 means this service performs better than 85% of all internet options available in your state.
Data Source: FCC National Broadband Map data, updated twice a year.
How We Calculate Capabilities
Estimated Capabilities predict how well each internet plan supports common household activities based on speed requirements and connection type.
Rating Scale:
- Excellent – Optimal performance, handles peak usage easily
- Good – Reliable performance with minimal issues
- Fair – Functional but may experience slowdowns during heavy use
- Poor – Not recommended; expect frequent buffering or lag
How We Rate Each Category:
Streaming
Based on download speed. 4K streaming requires 25+ Mbps per stream; HD requires 5+ Mbps. We account for multiple simultaneous streams.
Multi-device
Evaluates total bandwidth capacity divided by typical household device count (phones, tablets, smart TVs, computers). Fiber and cable handle many devices better than DSL or satellite.
Gaming
Considers both upload speed (for sending game data) and latency (ping time). Fiber and cable excel here; satellite connections struggle due to inherent signal delay.
Whole Home
Assesses whether the connection can reliably serve an entire household during peak evening hours. Factors in technology type (shared vs. dedicated bandwidth) and total speed capacity.
Note: Actual performance depends on your specific location, network congestion, and equipment quality.
