Find internet providers in Pompano Beach, FL
Find internet offered in Pompano Beach, FL – easily compare options from multiple providers to find the plan that best fits your needs.
FindBetterInternet was created by two guys with years of first-hand industry experience selling internet services online. Frankly, what we found left a lot to be desired. Internet providers can pay for their listings to be placed higher up the page, cookies can be captured, and your data can be shared for banner ads that stalk your online profile for the next week. We built FindBetterInternet to be different.
Our methodology translates the complex treasure trove of 115m locations on the FCC Broadband Map into one simple resource. We layer on pricing to help you sift through what’s good value.
We hope this is helpful for you and appreciate all the community’s support with this project. If you find it helpful, we do make a commission if you buy internet from a link on our address-check page. We pour that back into maintaining the site.
Every price and coverage figure on this site traces back to FCC Broadband Data Collection filings (the National Broadband Map); here’s exactly how we do it.

The 30-Second Verdict
UpdatedYour best internet choice can change from one street to the next, so check fiber at your exact address before comparing anything else. AT&T is the fiber option to want, reaching 92.4% of the city overall, with its up to 5,000/5,000 Mbps fiber tier available to about 37%, ideal for heavy work-from-home, huge uploads, competitive gaming, or a home full of devices. Hotwire Communications reaches 4.8% overall, with up to 2,000/2,000 Mbps fiber available to about 1%, so it is worth checking in places such as Palm Aire and Garden Isles. Xfinity is the strong everyday fallback, covering 92.4% overall, with up to 2,000/300 Mbps cable available to about 70%; Breezeline reaches 1.5%, with its up to 1,000/50 Mbps tier available to about 1%. In Cypress Harbor, 33060, Xfinity leads at 57.4%, while AT&T fiber reaches 37.3%, and in Pompano Beach Highlands, 33064, Xfinity leads at 64.2% versus AT&T fiber at 33.0%. If you mainly stream, browse, and video-call, cable is plenty, so do you actually need multi-gig fiber, or is cable the smarter, cheaper call? T-Mobile and Verizon offer budget fixed wireless, reaching 86.3% and 53.3% overall, respectively. If wired service misses your address, Starlink is the better satellite fallback, and you should confirm the exact address and whether your apartment unit is wired for fiber.

AT&T’s $35/mo introductory Fiber 300 plan, rising to $60/mo after 12 months, buys up to 300 Mbps down and up with a 77/100 Speed Score, making it a strong-value fiber option. AT&T covers 92.4% of Pompano Beach overall, but its fiber plans reach 36.6% of the city, so check your exact address because fiber is the technology to want; where it is unavailable, Internet Air offers up to 300 Mbps down and up for $55/mo, then $60/mo, with a 76/100 score and availability to 40.7% of the city.
About AT&T
Prices start at $35/mo for up to 300 Mbps on fiber, while $50/mo buys up to 1,000 Mbps and $95/mo buys up to 5,000 Mbps both ways for the first 12 months, making AT&T a strong value where its fastest service is available. Fiber is the option to want, but it reaches 36.6% of Pompano Beach, even though AT&T’s overall coverage is 92.4% of the city, so check your exact address first. At addresses outside the fiber footprint, AT&T Internet Air, a 5G Fixed Wireless plan with up to 300 Mbps both ways, reaches 40.7% and is adequate for many households but may be less dependable for demanding modern use.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Pompano Beach
Fiber is the connection to want for low-latency browsing, gaming, streaming, and work, and Hotwire Communications offers an excellent, top-tier option with up to 8,000 Mbps both ways and a 99/100 Speed Score. That top tier reaches 1.0% of Pompano Beach, while Hotwire’s overall coverage is 4.8% of the city, so check your exact address to confirm fiber availability.
About Hotwire Communications
Fiber is Hotwire Communications’ connection technology here, and where available it is the option to want for fast, reliable streaming, gaming, work, and multiple devices. Hotwire reaches 4.8% of Pompano Beach, with its fastest fiber plan offering up to 8,000 Mbps both ways and reaching 1.0% of census blocks, but availability is highly address-dependent. Check your exact address first, since some locations may only have the up to 10 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up fiber tier, which is unlikely to meet modern household needs.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Pompano Beach
Satellite internet can provide broad access, but its higher latency may be noticeable during video calls, gaming, and other real-time activities. Starlink’s Residential – Max plan offers up to 400 Mbps with a 69/100 Speed Score, while its up to 200 Mbps and up to 100 Mbps plans each score 45/100, all below Pompano Beach’s 76 average top speed score. Starlink reaches 100.0% of the city, and each listed plan is available to 100.0%, but satellite is best treated as a fallback, so check what wired options reach your exact address first.
About Starlink
Starlink uses satellite internet, so it reaches 100.0% of Pompano Beach and can help homes that wired providers miss, though higher latency may affect gaming and video calls. Its plans offer up to 400 Mbps for $130/mo, up to 200 Mbps for $85/mo, or up to 100 Mbps for $55/mo, with speed scores of 69/100 or 45/100, so check your exact address for fiber or cable first if either is available.

THE TAKEAWAY
Our recommendation for Pompano Beach
At $64.99/mo for the first 12 months, then $89.99/mo, HughesNet’s Elite plan buys up to 100 Mbps over satellite, but its 30/100 Speed Score is well below Pompano Beach’s 76 average. Lower-priced options include Select at $49.99/mo for the first 12 months, then $74.99/mo, for up to 50 Mbps with a 1/100 score, and Lite at $39.99/mo for the first 12 months, then $49.99/mo, for up to 25 Mbps with a 1/100 score. HughesNet reaches 100.0% of Pompano Beach, but because satellite has higher latency and limited performance compared with wired connections, check what other providers and technologies are available at your exact address first.
About HughesNet
HughesNet costs $39.99/mo for the first 12 months for Lite with up to 25 Mbps, or $64.99/mo for the first 12 months for Elite with up to 100 Mbps, but all of its plans use satellite and offer below-average speed scores. It reaches 100.0% of Pompano Beach, making it a useful fallback where wired service is unavailable, but check your exact address for faster fiber or cable options first because satellite may not be sufficient for modern streaming, gaming, or multiple-device use.

How We Analyze Internet in Pompano Beach
FCC Broadband Data
We use the FCC National Broadband Map, updated twice a year with provider-reported coverage at the census block level.
Speed Score
Our proprietary score weights technology type (fiber=100%, cable=85%, etc.) with download (70%) and upload (30%) speeds, ranked as a state percentile.
Coverage Calculation
Provider coverage shows what percentage of census blocks in Pompano Beach report service availability from each provider.
Data Coverage for Pompano Beach
How We Calculate Speed Score
Our Speed Score is a state-level percentile ranking (0-100) that shows how a provider’s service compares to all other internet options available in your state.
The Formula:
We calculate a raw performance score using:
Technology Factor × (Download Speed × 70% + Upload Speed × 30%)
Technology Factors:
Not all connections are equal. We weight each technology based on real-world reliability and performance:
- Fiber: 100% – Fastest, most reliable technology
- Cable: 85% – High speeds, shared neighborhood bandwidth
- Fixed Wireless (Licensed): 70% – Dedicated spectrum, weather-dependent
- Copper/DSL: 65% – Distance-limited, aging infrastructure
- Fixed Wireless (Unlicensed): 60% – Shared spectrum, variable performance
- Satellite (LEO): 40% – Low-earth orbit (e.g., Starlink), higher latency
- Satellite (GEO): 15% – Geostationary orbit, significant latency
Percentile Ranking:
After calculating raw scores, we rank every service option in your state by geographic coverage (census blocks served). A score of 85 means this service performs better than 85% of all internet options available in your state.
Data Source: FCC National Broadband Map data, updated twice a year.
How We Calculate Capabilities
Estimated Capabilities predict how well each internet plan supports common household activities based on speed requirements and connection type.
Rating Scale:
- Excellent – Optimal performance, handles peak usage easily
- Good – Reliable performance with minimal issues
- Fair – Functional but may experience slowdowns during heavy use
- Poor – Not recommended; expect frequent buffering or lag
How We Rate Each Category:
Streaming
Based on download speed. 4K streaming requires 25+ Mbps per stream; HD requires 5+ Mbps. We account for multiple simultaneous streams.
Multi-device
Evaluates total bandwidth capacity divided by typical household device count (phones, tablets, smart TVs, computers). Fiber and cable handle many devices better than DSL or satellite.
Gaming
Considers both upload speed (for sending game data) and latency (ping time). Fiber and cable excel here; satellite connections struggle due to inherent signal delay.
Whole Home
Assesses whether the connection can reliably serve an entire household during peak evening hours. Factors in technology type (shared vs. dedicated bandwidth) and total speed capacity.
Note: Actual performance depends on your specific location, network congestion, and equipment quality.
